Orkun Örcan
Commercial food photographer based in Dubai since 2008. I shoot campaigns, menus, packaging and social content for restaurants, hotels and brands such as McDonald's, KFC and Quaker, across the UAE and KSA.
Raised in a studio, trained in fine art.
My path into photography began more than 30 years ago in my family's advertising photography studio, where I learned still-life lighting and production long before I worked professionally.
I graduated in Photography from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University in 2001 and moved to Dubai in 2008. Since then I have worked with advertising agencies, creative directors, restaurant groups and international food brands on images that end up on billboards, menus, packs, delivery apps and Instagram feeds.
On set I work with chefs, food stylists, marketing teams and agency creatives. Every image is retouched for where it will run, whether that's a 4-metre billboard or a delivery-app thumbnail.

Where are you based, and do you travel?
I'm based in Dubai and shoot across the UAE, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and I also work with clients in KSA, including Riyadh.
What kind of food photography do you do?
Commercial food and beverage photography: advertising campaigns, restaurant and hotel menus, packaging, delivery-app imagery and social media content for restaurants, hotels, QSR chains and FMCG brands.
Do you provide food styling?
Yes. Styling and art direction are part of every shoot. For larger productions I work alongside dedicated food stylists and your chefs.
Can you shoot at our restaurant or hotel?
Yes. Shoots can take place in the studio or on location in your kitchen, restaurant or venue.
